Donnie Freeman Caps Impressive Year With All Peach Jam First Team Accolades

The Syracuse basketball commit has been tremendous this year.

Donnie Freeman's stellar second half was a big reason why Team Takeover won the Peach Jam championship game over Vegas Elite. His performance in that game, as well as Peach Jam in its entirety, landed him on the All Peach Jam First Team. Those are just the latest accolades for the Syracuse commit during what has been an extremely impressive year.

In February, he led St. John's College High to the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) championship. He was also named First Team All WCAC, First Team All DC and First Team All Met.

In addition, Freeman led St. John's College High to the Torrey Pines Holiday Tournament title becoming the first East Coast team to do it since 2011 (DeMatha). Freeman was named MVP of that tournament. Freeman was also MVP of the National High School Hoops Festival where he led St. John's College to that title.

Safe to say Donnie Freeman has put together an incredible year leading into his senior season. The Syracuse basketball commit will then turn his focus to college ball, preparing to join the Orange next summer.

Freeman is currently ranked 29th by On3, 31st by 247Sports and 42nd by both ESPN and Rivals. With another strong senior season, he has a chance to move into five star range.
