Dorian Jones 'Very Blessed' for Syracuse Basketball Offer

The class of 2025 shooting guard picked up an offer from the Orange recently.

Class of 2025 Cleveland (OH) Richmond Heights shooting guard Dorian Jones is one of the best players at his position in his cycle. Jones, listed at 6-4, is rated a four star prospect by 247Sports, ESPN and Rivals. He is ranked in the top 40 by 247Sports and ESPN, while Rivals has him in the top 50. On Wednesday, Syracuse extended an offer.

"Had a great conversation with the coaching staff," Jones said. "Coach Brendan. All we talked about was how he got into the program and the style of play."

This was not the first time Jones had heard from Syracuse, but the contact has been very recent. He said the Orange reached out last week and then the offer came on Wednesday.

"Just very blessed," Jones said.

The next step in the relationship between Jones and Syracuse is to schedule a visit so he can get a closer look at the program. Expect the two sides to try to get him on campus, potentially for a home game, sometime this fall or winter.

In the mean time, Jones and the Syracuse coaches will communicate and get to know each other better.

"I'm very interested in the program," Jones said. "I know they are known for their zone defense and have had a lot of great players and success."

Last season, Jones averaged 20.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 1.7 blocks per game.

In addition to Syracuse, Jones also holds offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Illinois, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ohio State, Rutgers, Texas A&M and Xavier among others.
