Fatim Diggs Commits to Syracuse

In this story:
Class of 2024 Camden (NJ) Eastside linebacker Fatim Diggs has committed to Syracuse following an official visit over the weekend. Fatim is the younger brother of Texas A&M transfer defensive lineman Fadil Diggs. Fatim, listed at 6-3, 220 pounds, picked the Orange over offers from Boston College, Maryland, Ole Miss, Penn State and Virginia, among others.
Diggs is rated a three star prospect by 247Sports and On3. Neither ESPN nor Rivals has evaluated him to date.
During his senior season, Diggs racked up 110 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 13 sacks. He was named to Jersey Sports Zone's 2023 Public All-Zone Defensive Team.
Syracuse was involved early in the Diggs' recruiting process, hosting him for multiple visits during the spring, summer and in prior years. However, things cooled this fall. The original offer came from Syracuse in May of 2022 under the Dino Babers staff.
With the change to Fran Brown, who has extensive ties to New Jersey including Camden, Syracuse moved to bring him on board. This trip was less about seeing the campus and the facilities given his familiarity with them. It was more about bonding with the coaches and discussing their vision for Diggs and how he fits into the program. That was enough to seal the deal.

Title: Publisher All Syracuse Education: Roberts Wesleyan College Location: Syracuse, New York Expertise: Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting. EXPERIENCE Mike McAllister has been covering Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting for more than a decade. Mike's career started with his own free blog as a way to vent following sporting events. Shortly thereafter, a network of basketball sites called Coast 2 Coast Hoops asked him to run their Syracuse site. That site was called Nation of Orange, and Mike quickly established it as a go-to for Syracuse fans. After running Nation of Orange for several months, a position with the Syracuse site on the Scout network became available. After one year as the recruiting expert with Cuse Nation, he was named the publisher. Mike oversaw the transition from Scout to 247Sports, and ran the site on that network for years. Presented with the opportunity to join one of the biggest names in the sports journalism industry, Sports Illustrated, Mike jumped at the chance. All Syracuse was started from scratch by Mike and the Fan Nation team. It has now become a staple for Orange fans of various sports. Mike has broken news on recruiting, Syracuse basketball and football team information and has established himself as the top recruiting inside in the market. He has appeared on local radio shows, television broadcasts, national radio shows and much more.
