The Orange lands a talented offensive weapon out of the transfer portal.

Syracuse football has landed one of the most explosive offensive weapons in the transfer portal. Georgia transfer wide receiver Yazeed Haynes committed to the Orange following an official visit over the weekend. Haynes is the second former Bulldog to transfer to Syracuse this offseason, joining fellow wideout Jackson Meeks. He has four years of eligibility remaining after redshirting this past season.

Haynes is listed at 6-1, 170 pounds and was a consensus four star recruit in the class of 2023. He was rated as high as 109th overall, the 18th best wide receiver and second best in the state of Pennsylvania per On3. Haynes was rated as low as 47th best wide receiver and fifth best in the state per 247Sports. His primary recruiter at Georgia out of high school was new Orange head coach Fran Brown.

As a high school prospect, Haynes signed with the Bulldogs Boston College, Maryland, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Penn State, Rutgers and West Virginia. During his senior season of high school he recorded 55 catches for 1,212 yards and 13 touchdowns. That is over 22 yards per reception. He reportedly ran a 4.39 40-time, showing off his elite speed and explosive ability. Haynes played for North Penn High School in Pennsylvania.
