Jaire Rawlison Recaps Syracuse Visit

In this story:
Syracuse football is starting to host recruits for unofficial visits with the return of spring ball. On Tuesday, Harrisburg (PA) Bishop McDevitt defensive back Jaire Rawlison was on campus to get a closer look at the Orange.
"The visit was great," Rawlison said. "It started with watching practice. Then we went on a campus tour, had a chance to check out the historic Dome, and ended back at the sports facility. When we got back we had our photo shoots, which was a really fun experience. Lastly, I had a chance to meet the new defensive backs coach (Travis Fisher) for about an hour. That was probably my favorite part. He dropped a lot of gems on me in that short period of time."
The conversation with coach Fisher focused on recruiting and film study.
"We talked about his transition over to Cuse, his playing career," Rawlison said. "Also things he looks for in DBs. We talked a bunch about recruiting overall. He watched some of my film and gave me some good pointers on things I could add to my game."
Syracuse has not offered to date, but Rawlison is hopeful that will come. He says the Orange would be in his top three if an offer is extended.
"They have not yet," Rawlison said. "But we had a really long one on one talk with the defensive backs coach so I expect to hear something really soon."
Rawlison currently holds 10 offers, with the most notable coming from Boston College, Akron, Kent State, James Madison, Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan.

EXPERIENCE Mike McAllister has been covering Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting for more than a decade. Mike's career started with his own free blog as a way to vent following sporting events. Shortly thereafter, a network of basketball sites called Coast 2 Coast Hoops asked him to run their Syracuse site. After running Nation of Orange for several months, a position with the Syracuse site on the Scout network became available.
