Kai Pritchard Recaps Syracuse Visit

The class of 2026 offensive lineman details his experience getting a closer look at the Orange.

Class of 2026 Toms River (NJ) Donovan Catholic offensive lineman Kai Pritchard is one of the most intriguing prospects in the Northeast in his cycle. He currently holds offers from Duke and Syracuse, and spent Saturday on the Orange campus to get a closer look at the program.

"It was great," Pritchard said. "The game was awesome and all the coaches were very welcoming. I'm glad I got to experience this trip."

The recruits on campus Saturday attended the basketball game between Syracuse and Miami in the Dome. It was quite the game to witness as the Orange won on a buzzer beating three pointer. The 6-5, 275 pound offensive lineman was impressed.

"It was very loud and everyone in there were great supporters," Pritchard said. "The Dome was sick. I can't imagine how fun football games would be there. The ending was great. I got a really good video. The whole place went wild."

Pritchard was offered by Syracuse in mid December, not too long after Fran Brown took over as head coach. This visit was his first chance to spend extended time with the Orange coaches.

"It felt very comfortable," Pritchard said. "I like how coach Fran really emphasizes player development. I like. how he is very involved with the players and how they're doing. The OL coach was a great guy. Definitely can see myself playing for him."

While this was the first time Pritchard visited Syracuse, it will likely not be the last.

"I like how the players looked like they were having a great time," Pritchard said. "Which, that's what I'm looking for. Having a good time with the guys while playing football in college and I like how the scheduled lays out for the players. It was definitely up there."
