1. Naheem McLeod
Florida State center transfer Naheem McLeod has set a commitment date for Tuesday, May 16th. I love where Syracuse basketball stands entering that announcement. McLeod was supposed to visit Mississippi State this past week, but the Bulldogs received a commitment from West Virginia transfer big Jimmy Bell. Therefore, the trip did not take place. Therefore, McLeod has only visited Syracuse. That is a great sign for the Orange.
2. Jakobie Seabourn
A junior college defensive back with length and versatility, Seabourn took an official visit this weekend to Syracuse. The visit went extremely well and the Orange appear to be in the driver's seat here. LSU, Oregon State and South Florida were among the schools also vying for Seabourn's services. He would be a nice addition to the 2023 roster.
3. Berry Buxton
A surprise visitor this weekend was junior college defensive back Berry Buxton, a teammate of Seabourn's at Santa Barbara City College. Another long, versatile DB, Buxton also has an offer from San Diego State. Originally from California, his decision will come down to whether or not he wants to play closer to home or power five football. I think power five wins out here. Buxton, in addition to Seabourn, would be a class of 2023 prospect and join the Orange for the upcoming season.
4. David Wohlabaugh
Syracuse hit it out of the park with Wohlabaugh on his official visit this weekend, and the Orange is now a heavy favorite to land the Kentucky transfer offensive lineman. He was supposed to take another visit (to Oklahoma) before deciding, but I no longer expect that trip to take place. Stay tuned.

EXPERIENCE Mike McAllister has been covering Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting for more than a decade. Mike's career started with his own free blog as a way to vent following sporting events. Shortly thereafter, a network of basketball sites called Coast 2 Coast Hoops asked him to run their Syracuse site. After running Nation of Orange for several months, a position with the Syracuse site on the Scout network became available. After one year as the recruiting expert with Cuse Nation, he was named the publisher. Mike oversaw the transition from Scout to 247Sports, and ran the site on that network for years. Presented with the opportunity to join one of the biggest names in the sports journalism industry, Sports Illustrated, Mike jumped at the chance. All Syracuse was started from scratch by Mike and the Fan Nation team. It has now become a staple for Orange fans of various sports.
