Three priority Syracuse football targets are set to announce their decisions on Monday, June 26th. Here is a look at where the Orange stands with each and the schedule for the announcements.

MICHAEL MATTHEWS-CANTY

Syracuse is the only power five offer for the 6-2 Virginia based safety. The Orange identified Matthews-Canty as a perfect fit for the Rover position within the 3-3-5. He took an official visit the weekend of June 9th and the Orange has been in the driver's seat ever since. We predict that Matthews-Canty will pick Syracuse when he announces. Other power fives have been hesitant to offer due to him being kind of in between a linebacker and a safety. However, that is perfect for the aforementioned Rover position and Syracuse loves his potential in their defensive system. Fit is extremely important here.

WILLIE GOODACRE

Goodacre put Syracuse on top after taking an official visit the weekend of June 16th. He visited Kansas this past weekend, and is down to those two schools ahead of his announcement. Was the Jayhawks visit enough to overtake the Orange? We do not believe so. Therefore, we predict Goodacre will pick Syracuse. It is never a bad thing to get an offensive lineman from Texas with multiple power five offers.

TA'RON HAILE

Wide receiver recruiting has been a bit negative for Syracuse recently. Over the weekend, the Orange lost three wide receiver targets to other schools. Jason Robinson and Justice Williams both committed to Washington, while local star Syair Torrence picked Michigan State. Haile becomes a much more important target as a result. The good news is we predict he will pick Syracuse to give the Orange a 3-3 day overall. Haile has an impressive offer list including Boston College, Maryland, Nebraska, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, West Virginia and several others. When he took an official visit to Syracuse, the Orange appeared to be front runners. After watching him run live at a Monmouth satellite camp, that clinched it for both sides.
