Recruitment Recap: Caden Brown was one of the most highly regarded recruits in New York State. Considered a top five prospect in the state, Rutgers quickly jumped to the forefront of his recruitment. In fact, Brown was considered a heavy Rutgers lean for quite some time. However, when Fran Brown was hired as the new Syracuse head coach, Caden's attitude towards the Orange changed. He spoke with Fran Brown multiple times, set up an official visit for this past weekend and committed following the trip.

Evaluation: Brown has all of the tools to be a well rounded defensive end or outside linebacker. He is long with a 6-3 frame that can easily add weight to help gain more strength, but already looks like he has been in a collegiate strength and conditioning program. He is physical at the point of attack, has an explosive first step and shows a variety of moves as a pass rusher. Brown has a very high ceiling.
