Recruitment Recap: Willis had been committed to Pittsburgh since July. However, with the hiring of Fran Brown, the new Syracuse staff moved quickly to get him on campus for an official visit. During that visit, the Orange coaches made a big impression and he elected to flip his commitment from SU's ACC rival.

Evaluation: If you like big, physical running backs, Yasin Willis is the back for you. He runs with a lot of power. Willis is physical between the tackles, will run over any defender that is in front of him, often times taking two or three tacklers to bring him down. Willis may not be an elite burner, but he has better speed than you would think given his running style. If he gets to the secondary, look out. Defensive backs will have a hard time bringing this guy down. At the next level, working on becoming a consistent receiving threat out of the backfield will be a priority.
