Syair Torrence Decommits From Syracuse

In this story:
Class of 2024 Syracuse (NY) CBA wide receiver Syair Torrence announced on Saturday that he has decommitted from the Orange.
"First off, I want to say thank you to my Lord and Savior, for the opportunities in life that I'm getting," Torrence posted on Twitter. "I also want to thank the entire Syracuse University football coaching staff. After a recent conversation with the head coach, it is best for me to de-commit from Syracuse and look to explore other options ahead for me. My recruitment is 100% open. Thank you to all the Cuse fans. I'll always be the hometown hero!"
Torrence, a 5-11, 165 pound wide receiver who is the younger brother of former Syracuse basketball guard Symir Torrence, committed to the Orange in November. Six months later, he has changed his mind. Since committing, other schools have continued to recruit Torrence. He picked up offers from Memphis and Michigan State, as well as scheduled an official visit to get a closer look at the Spartans.
Symir had been on the basketball team the last couple of years, but elected to transfer out for his last year of eligibility. He committed to Binghamton as his transfer destination.
With Syair's departure, Syracuse's 2024 class stands at three players in offensive lineman Noah Rosahac, running back Trashon Dye and athlete Travon Dye.

Title: Publisher All Syracuse Education: Roberts Wesleyan College Location: Syracuse, New York Expertise: Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting. EXPERIENCE Mike McAllister has been covering Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting for more than a decade. Mike's career started with his own free blog as a way to vent following sporting events. Shortly thereafter, a network of basketball sites called Coast 2 Coast Hoops asked him to run their Syracuse site. That site was called Nation of Orange, and Mike quickly established it as a go-to for Syracuse fans. After running Nation of Orange for several months, a position with the Syracuse site on the Scout network became available. After one year as the recruiting expert with Cuse Nation, he was named the publisher. Mike oversaw the transition from Scout to 247Sports, and ran the site on that network for years. Presented with the opportunity to join one of the biggest names in the sports journalism industry, Sports Illustrated, Mike jumped at the chance. All Syracuse was started from scratch by Mike and the Fan Nation team. It has now become a staple for Orange fans of various sports. Mike has broken news on recruiting, Syracuse basketball and football team information and has established himself as the top recruiting inside in the market. He has appeared on local radio shows, television broadcasts, national radio shows and much more.
