Syracuse Continues to Prioritize Offensive Lineman Jack Small

The Orange hosted one of its top targets for another visit.

Jack Small was offered by Syracuse in January and the Orange has recruited him hard ever since. He has visited campus multiple times, most recently over the weekend.

"I had a fantastic time in Syracuse again," Small said. "I love how everyone is so friendly up there. It's overall a great football atmosphere. It's a great place to play football and the coaches do a good job of showing what they have to offer you and how you are going to be successful in their program."

While Small is familiar with the campus and facilities, this visit featured meetings with Syracuse coaches.

"I got to sit in on an offensive linemen meeting," Small said. "I really like the way coach Farmer coaches. I'd say the best parts were sitting down with coach Babers and getting Dinosaur Barbecue with coach Farmer."

The meeting with coach Babers was one of the most memorable part of this trip.

"He's definitely a character," Small said. "I can tell by sitting with him he truly cares about all his players and the game of football. His message was clear to me. He wants me to play football in orange and blue."

While Syracuse is held in high regard, Small is not ready to make a decision yet. He wants to make sure when he commits, it is a final decision.

"I think I'm going to start to narrow down my college choices to the ones I'm truly interested in," Small said. "But I'm definitely going to be back at Syracuse soon."
