Syracuse Lands Preferred Walk-On Offensive Lineman Ted Olsen

In this story:
Syracuse football has added to its roster for the 2023 season. Class of 2023 offensive lineman Ted Olsen announced his commitment to the Orange on Thursday. Olsen stars for IMG Academy in Florida but is originally from California where he played for Palos Verdes before transferring. He is listed at 6-2, 275 pounds and is expected to play along the interior of the offensive line. Olsen also has experience as a long snapper.
Olsen picked Syracuse over a scholarship offer from Elon and interest from schools such as Army, Ole Miss and Kentucky. He visited the Orange last October for the win over Wagner.
Olsen now joins a 2023 recruiting class that features four offensive linemen including J'Onre Reed, Jayden Bass, Lysander Moeolo and Trevion Mack. In addition, Richmond transfer Joe More committed to Syracuse for his last year of collegiate eligibility.
Syracuse is likely not done adding to its offensive front. The Orange is recruiting Rutgers transfer Willie Tyler, who has already visited. If Syracuse cannot land him, expect the Orange to take a hard look at new entrants into the transfer portal post spring.
Syracuse finished the 2022 season 7-6 including a Pinstripe Bowl loss to Minnesota. The Orange is hoping to return to postseason play in 2023.

Title: Publisher All Syracuse Education: Roberts Wesleyan College Location: Syracuse, New York Expertise: Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting. EXPERIENCE Mike McAllister has been covering Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting for more than a decade. Mike's career started with his own free blog as a way to vent following sporting events. Shortly thereafter, a network of basketball sites called Coast 2 Coast Hoops asked him to run their Syracuse site. That site was called Nation of Orange, and Mike quickly established it as a go-to for Syracuse fans. After running Nation of Orange for several months, a position with the Syracuse site on the Scout network became available. After one year as the recruiting expert with Cuse Nation, he was named the publisher. Mike oversaw the transition from Scout to 247Sports, and ran the site on that network for years. Presented with the opportunity to join one of the biggest names in the sports journalism industry, Sports Illustrated, Mike jumped at the chance. All Syracuse was started from scratch by Mike and the Fan Nation team. It has now become a staple for Orange fans of various sports. Mike has broken news on recruiting, Syracuse basketball and football team information and has established himself as the top recruiting inside in the market. He has appeared on local radio shows, television broadcasts, national radio shows and much more.
