Syracuse Pursuing 2023 JUCO Offensive Lineman Issiah Walker

In this story:
Syracuse football extended an offer to 2023 junior college offensive lineman Issiah Walker on Friday. Walker previously signed with Purdue, but received a release from his National Letter of Intent this past week.
"The o-line coach left right after I signed," Walker said. "No one from the staff reached out when it happened. I ultimately found out through a Twitter post."
Since receiving his release, Walker has picked up offers from Colorado in addition to Syracuse. He has an official visit set for Colorado on June 23rd and is currently working on setting one up to Syracuse.
"Working on the date with the o-line coach," Walker said.
The 6-4, 309 pound offensive lineman's recruitment has been an eventful one since high school. He was a four star recruit in the 2019 class at Norland High School in Miami (FL), and signed with Florida over offers from Auburn, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina and several others.
Just six months after signing with Florida, Walker transferred to Miami in May of 2020. Shortly after that, Walker re-entered the transfer portal before ultimately ending up at Butler Community College. He started 12 games this past season for Butler CC.
Walker committed to and signed with Purdue in January as a junior college recruit over offers from Buffalo, Florida Atlantic, Marshall, Western Kentucky and others.
Back on the market, Walker knows what he's looking for at his next landing spot.
"Family atmosphere and a coach to push me to become the best I can be," Walker said.

EXPERIENCE Mike McAllister has been covering Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting for more than a decade. Mike's career started with his own free blog as a way to vent following sporting events. Shortly thereafter, a network of basketball sites called Coast 2 Coast Hoops asked him to run their Syracuse site. That site was called Nation of Orange, and Mike quickly established it as a go-to for Syracuse fans. After running Nation of Orange for several months, a position with the Syracuse site on the Scout network became available. After one year as the recruiting expert with Cuse Nation, he was named the publisher. Mike oversaw the transition from Scout to 247Sports, and ran the site on that network for years. Presented with the opportunity to join one of the biggest names in the sports journalism industry, Sports Illustrated, Mike jumped at the chance. All Syracuse was started from scratch by Mike and the Fan Nation team. It has now become a staple for Orange fans of various sports. Mike has broken news on recruiting, Syracuse basketball and football team information and has established himself as the top recruiting inside in the market.
