Syracuse football is not quite done with its 2024 recruiting class. Jersey City (NJ) St. Peter's Prep two-way lineman Xavier Miles announced his commitment to the Orange Monday night. Miles, listed at 6-4, 290 pounds, plays defensive tackle and interior offensive line in high school. He says he is coming in as a big athlete who could end up on either side of the ball.

"Feeling incredibly blessed and grateful today," Miles posted on social media. "First and foremost, a huge thank you to God for the abilities, opportunities, and strength I've been given to chase my dreams. Without His guidance, I wouldn't be where I am today. A big shoutout to my family, who've been my rock every step of the way through this journey. Your unwavering support means the world to me. And to Coach Brown and the entire Syracuse staff, thank you for this incredible opportunity. I'm excited to announce that I will be committing to the University of Syracuse!"

Miles chose Syracuse less than two weeks after National Signing Day. He picked the Orange over offers from Boston College, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan State, Rutgers, West Virginia and others. He is rated a three star prospect by 247Sports, On3 and Rivals. ESPN has not evaluated him to date.
