As the first half concluded, Ole Miss took command in the closing moments, with guard Matthew Murrel sinking a three-pointer as the clock expired. This clutch shot propelled Ole Miss to a 31-29 lead heading into halftime.

With 3:39 left on the clock, Texas A&M had secured a seven-point lead at 60-53. Despite this, Ole Miss staged a comeback, tying the game at 62 soon after. In a crucial turn of events, Murray sank a clutch three-pointer with just 22 seconds remaining, giving the Rebels the upper hand in the late stages of the game.

In the decisive moments of the game, a flurry of impactful events unfolded, altering the game's dynamics. A series of fouls, crucial free throws, and a game-changing three-pointer from A&M's Wade Taylor IV intensified the competitive atmosphere.

Despite Taylor's extraordinary efforts in the closing minutes, Ole Miss ultimately secured a critical three-point victory, a triumph that holds significant implications for their NCAA Tournament aspirations.

After Tyrece Radford's successful free throw and two more from Ole Miss, the spotlight once again turned to Taylor for his heroics. The junior guard, showcasing his skills, sprinted down the court and sank his fifth three-pointer of the night, bringing the Aggies within one point.

Despite this valiant push, Ole Miss held their ground with two additional free throws, leaving the Aggies with a final opportunity to level the game. However, a crucial off-the-ball foul on Taylor sent him to the line, where he calmly converted both shots.

In the subsequent plays, Matthew Murrel's successful free throws secured the final 71-68 lead of the night for Ole Miss. Unfortunately, Tyrece Radford's three-point attempt to tie the game fell short, bringing an end to the Aggies' SEC win streak.

Jaemyn Brakefield led Ole Miss in scoring with 15 points, backed by double-digit contributions from Murray with 13 and Allen Flanigan with 11. As a team, the Rebels displayed impressive shooting percentages of 41.7 both from the field and beyond the arc, surpassing the Aggies' figures of 39.7 and 30 percent, respectively.

Now facing a challenging bye week, Texas A&M must regroup before confronting the formidable Florida Gators on Saturday, Feb. 3.
