COLLEGE STATION - COLLEGE STATION - Myles Garrett has transformed into one of the NFL's top pass rushers this season. The third-year pro is currently tied with Tampa Bay's Shaquil Barrett for the league lead with nine sacks.

That could make some fans of opposing teams mad. Could it however, upset some of the Cleveland Browns fans as well?

According to a police report, Garrett told officers that he was 'punched' in the face Wednesday. Initially, the man tried to flag Garrett down in his car down to take a picture with him. It later would turn into a 'pillow' tap punch to the face.

According to Garrett, the man produced a closed fist following the picture and then struck him. The suspect returned to his car and fled the scene following the incident. Garrett told police he was not injured, but somewhat surprised.

The Cleveland Division of Police reports they have identified the suspect as Richard Perez, 24, from Strongsville, Ohio. Police found Perez via his license plate number.

One of the elite pass rushers in Texas A&M history, Garrett shined for three seasons down at Kyle Field. A veteran leader and eventual overall top selection, the defensive end collected 141 tackles, 41 tackles for losses and 31 sacks.

The Browns will take one the New England Patriots next Sunday, October 27, following their bye week.
