COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M defensive back's Demani Richardson and Elijah Blades did not suit up the last time the Aggies took the field. Blades suffered a shoulder injury against Mississippi State in the second quarter while Richardson would leave later that afternoon.

After two weeks of rests thanks to the team's bye week,  the Aggies are expecting both players to return this coming weekend against South Carolina. A&M coach Jimbo Fisher believes that while a setback could derail their current status, both have practiced and should be cleared for Saturday's home finale.

"They practiced and they should be good to go," Fisher said. "I mean, we'll see as they get out there. But, as I'm getting reports now, yes."

Both Blades and Richardson have been quality contributors to Mike Elko's secondary this season. Neither were expected to immediately start but both have transitioned into full-time players.

Richardson has started in all seven games for the Aggies he's been active for. The Waxahachie product currently ranks second on the team with 47 tackles , 26 solo stops, an interception, a pass breakup and a forced fumble.

Blades, a JuCo transfer, has missed more time due to an injury suffered in fall camp. Since his return, the junior cornerback has been a reliable option on the outside. Starting in five games, Blades has made 17 total tackles and three pass deflections in coverage.

The Aggies will face the Gamecocks at Kyle Field at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 16. The game will be nationally televised on SEC Network.
