COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M started Saturday's outing off strong. Following a touchdown run from Kellen Mond, perhaps the Aggies could contend with top-ranked Alabama in a showdown at Kyle Field.

That was before Tua Tagovailoa and the Crimson Tide offense took the field. The junior quarterback would throw for four touchdowns and nearly 300 yards on the way to a 47-28 victory over the Aggies.

The AP Poll has been a fan of Texas A&M this season thus far. Despite being 2-2 after losing to Auburn, the voters believed the Aggies were still worthy of a place in the top 25.

Much like in baseball, three strikes knocked them out.

For the first time this season, the Aggies were not mentioned in the AP rankings. The team did receive three votes to remain a member, but other teams found their way to stay ahead in the voting.

While Texas A&M will no longer be in the polls, another SEC team took their place. Missouri moved from unranked to No.22 following their late-game victory over Ole Miss Saturday night in Columbia. The Tigers are now 5-1 under the direction of former Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant.

Five SEC schools make up the top 15 despite several losses. Alabama remained in the No.1 spot while LSU jumped three locations to No.2 after their victory over then No.7 Florida. The Gators moved to No.9 while Georgia slipped seven places to No.10. Auburn just missed the top-10, coming in at No.11.

Twelve schools in the rankings remain undefeated. Others include Boise State (No.14), Baylor (No.18), SMU (No.19), Minnesota (No.20), and Appalachian State (No.24).

The Aggies will have a chance to rejoin the rankings next Saturday when they travel to Vaught-Hemmingway Stadium to take on the Rebels. The game will take place at 6 P.M. on SEC Network.
