The Mike Elko era of Texas A&M football continues to take shape as the new Aggies coach fills out his support staff for the upcoming season.

Elko added three key pieces to the offensive side of the ball in Josh Buford, Christian Ellsworth and Justin Joyce. All three have previous ties to offensive coordinator Collin Klein.

Joyce has been brought in to work with wideouts and arrives from Mississippi State where he served as a graduate assistant.

Ellsworth arrives from Nebraska where he served as an offensive analyst and worked with tight ends. He'll serve the same capacity under Elko in College Station. Ellsworth is a former Northern Iowa quarterback where he played from 2016 to 2019. He also previously spent time as a graduate assistant at Kansas State and South Carolina.

Buford spent the last two seasons as an off-field analyst and is coming to College Station to serve in a similar capacity. A quick check of Buford's social media posts will see that he describes himself as a senior offensive analyst at Texas A&M. He's expected to help Klein instruct quarterbacks with the Aggies.

Before joining the support staff with the Wildcats in 2022, Buford served as an analyst at Hawaii and has coaching experience at the high school level in Kansas City. During Klein and Buford's time at Kansas State, the Wildcats won 19 games and a Big 12 championship as they both helped groom quarterbacks Adrian Martinez, Will Howard, and Avery Johnson.
