COLLEGE STATION -- Hecklers, haters and even field partakers are usually a part of today's game in the world of sports. The latter often leads to an arrest and multiple fines regardless of what field they take in whatever uniform.

But what happens when a student-athlete is one of the people found streaking down the sidelines? Fans of Texas A&M athletics discovered the details Wednesday morning following A&M's 5-2 loss against in-state rival Texas on the diamond Tuesday evening.

The streaker who mooned the Blue Bell Park crowd on a dash across the baseball diamond and then climbed over the outfield wall has been identified as freshman Spencer Werner. Per the A&M athletics website, Werner is a 19-year-old cross country team member.

The athletic department released a statement Wednesday afternoon stating, "Texas A&M track and field/cross country student-athlete Spencer Werner has been suspended per athletics department policy after he was arrested Tuesday evening."

At the top of the fifth inning, Werer was seen sprinting down the right-field sidelines, later working his way up toward the outfield, wearing a Darth Maul mask while carrying a sign that read "Longhorns suck." Painted on his chest was a message reading "Trump 2024."

As Werner headed toward the outfield, he dropped the sign and revealed part of his buttocks to the crowd. After clearing past the center fielder, Werner jumped over the center-field wall where a pair of police officers were waiting to arrest him.

Here's a clip of the incident below:

A native of Wilmette, Illinois, Werner was named the Southeastern Conference’s men’s freshman runner of the week last September. Usually when such cases occur, security takes to the field to try and clear the antics and resume play, but the police simply waited for Werner to exit the area before booking him.

Werner was charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct/exposure — that latter charge being tacked on for his antics of showing the crowd the other of his moon. According to the Brazos County Jail records, Werner was released from jail after posting bail worth $2,800.
