A pair of Texas A&M men's golfers are being honored this postseason. Phichaksn Maichon and Daniel Rodrigues earned PING Division I PING All-America Honorable Mention distinction from the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Maichon led the Aggies this spring logging top-10 performances in five of eight tournaments and placing 11th at the NCAA Championships.

Maichon, from Bangkok, Thailand, finished 14th at the NCAA Salem Regional, third at the SEC Championship, and second at the Aggie Invitational. He also won his first career title at the Huntsville Toyota Bearkat Invitational.

The sophomore finished the year with a 70.33 scoring average in 34 rounds of golf played over 11 tournaments, including 1.17 against par. He also earned PING All-Central Region Team recognition.

Rodrigues began the year with below-70 scores in six of his first seven rounds of golf. The junior medaled at the Blessings Collegiate with a three-round score of 11-under 206, good enough for SEC Golfer of the Week. He tied for fifth place at the SEC Match Play.

The native of Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal also posted top 10 finishes at the John A Burns INtercollegiate and the Louisiana Classics.

This is the first PING All-America honor for Maichon and Rodrigues as Texas A&M registered four victories in the 2022-23 campaign. Those wins included the Badger Invitational, the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate and the Louisiana Classics.
