Aggies' Await Decision of 5-Star ATH Terry Bussey

Jimbo Fisher and the Texas A&M Aggies look to improve on their highly touted 24' recruiting class tomorrow as one of the top prospects in the nation makes his decision.

The Texas A&M Aggies possess the fifth-best 2024 recruiting class up to this point in the cycle, according to 247 Sports.

Thursday at 3:45 p.m., they hope to add to it with the decision of five-star Athlete Terry Bussey, who picks between A&M, LSU, Alabama, Texas, and Oklahoma.

Out of the five schools that Bussey has narrowed his options down to, the Aggies have the best chance to land the Timpson, Texas native, according to multiple recruiting sites.

Bussey has been one of the top priorities on Jimbo Fisher's recruiting trail, so it would be huge for A&M to earn his commitment.

Widely regarded as one of the best players in the 24' class, Bussey's placing in the top 20 of most recruiting sites is no surprise. His stature may not stand out at 5-10, 180 pounds, but his playmaking ability, blazing speed, and freakish athleticism have scouts amazed at the potential he possesses.

Bussey's "athlete" position listing proves just how special of a talent he is on both sides of the ball.

At the Texas 2A level in high school, Bussey threw for 2,177 yards and 26 touchdowns while also rushing for 2,596 yards and 46 touchdowns. To add to this, he also came up with 115 tackles and five interceptions on defense.

The eye-popping high school stats don't end there either, Bussey was a four-sport athlete, participating in track and field, basketball, and baseball while at Timpson High School. He particularly excelled in track and field, placing among the top athletes in the state in multiple events.

It is unclear what position Bussey will play in college because of his ability to line up anywhere on the field, but scouts feel he will slot in as a receiver. This could bode well for the Aggies, who will be looking to replace "do-it-all" punt returner and receiver Ainias Smith next offseason.

Texas A&M awaits Bussy's decision, which will come Thursday at 3:45 p.m. CT. The Mr. Texas Football Award winner will commit live on Dave Cambell Texas Football's YouTube channel.
