Jalin Hyatt To Meet With Giants On Wednesday

Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Jalin Hyatt is visiting with the New York Giants, according to Tom Pelissero.

Jalin Hyatt will be visiting with the New York Giants on Wednesday, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. The Giants currently hold the 25th overall pick in April’s draft. After trading Kadarius Toney midseason last year and releasing Kenny Golladay, the Giants certainly have a hole at wide receiver, if not multiple.

They brought in Darren Waller as a pass-catcher at the tight end position, but the room of Isaiah Hodgins, Parris Campbell, and Darius Slayton could use some bolstering.

Mid-to-late first round seems like a very reasonable spot for Hyatt to see his name come off the board, and New York seems like a solid match. It should be of note that the Giants are also bringing in Oklahoma wide receiver Marvin Mims for a top-30 visit on Wednesday, according to Ian Rapoport.

At Tennessee, Hyatt showed that he is a fantastic NFL wide receiver prospect, racking up 1267 yards and 15 touchdowns last season, including five in the big win over Alabama. He won the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s top pass-catcher as a junior last season and continued to impress at this year’s scouting combine, too, running a 4.40 40-yard dash.

Hyatt has already met with the Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, and New Orleans Saints. According to Matt Miller, Hyatt’s stock is rising, meaning with all these teams liking what he has to offer, he may not even be available for the Giants at 25. We will have to wait and see, with the first round of the NFL Draft set for Thursday, April 27.
