Kaleb Webb Poised For Big Future

After a great performance in last week's spring game, Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Kaleb Webb could be the next big thing in Knoxville.

Many young Tennessee players performed great in the spring game last Saturday. Running backs DeSean Bishop and Cam Seldon played well, as did many others. A huge standout was freshman wide receiver Kaleb Webb. He is a four-star prospect out of Powder Springs, Georgia, where he played high school football for McEachern High School.

He finished last week's spring game with 50 yards and a touchdown on three catches. His major highlight moment during the game was a huge catch late in the 2nd quarter over two defenders to get the ball in the red zone. The throw came from Joe Milton, too, showing that Webb has the potential to contribute in some facet to the first-team offense this season.

Webb, on his decision to come to Tennessee and the benefits of it, "They [the coaches] really can get me to the next level. I feel like here I can put up high numbers in the SEC...Coach Heupel can really develop quarterbacks too. So that means I am getting a good quarterback to throw me the ball."

Webb has the intangibles to be a threat in this offense, with the Orange and White game being the tip of the iceberg for it. At 6 feet and 3 inches tall and nearly 200 pounds, he is a big target that can make the passing attack really easy for Milton and even Iamaleava in the future. He can create separation without having to do too much with his incredible route-running.

There is a lot of time until the beginning of next season, but Webb already looks like a great wide receiver in a program he has been a part of for just a few months. Regardless of the playing time he receives this upcoming year, he will be a threat in college football for years to come.
