Len'Neth Whitehead Commits To Georgia

Former Tennessee Volunteers running back Len'Neth Whitehead has committed to the rival Georgia Bulldogs.

Former Tennessee running back Len’Neth Whitehead has committed to SEC East rival Georgia. Whitehead entered the transfer portal on Dec. 2. He was a four-star recruit as a running back. He stands 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. Since he entered the portal, he has posted videos working on various aspects of his game, including his wide receiver and defensive back skills. He is an Athens, Georgia, native, having played running back and linebacker at Athens Academy.

Whitehead redshirted in 2020, but in 2021, he totaled 207 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries. He missed the entirety of the 2022 season due to injury. Heading to Georgia, he will still have three years of eligibility. Georgia currently has its typical deep running back room, despite losing Kenny McIntosh to the NFL Draft. Senior Kendall Milton is expected to be the starter in 2023, but behind him are plenty of talented players, such as senior Daijun Edwards, sophomore Branson Robinson, freshman Roderick Robinson II and more. We have seen Georgia use a running back-by-committee approach lately with great success. As for Tennessee, Whitehead would have seen himself behind the likes of junior Jaylen Wright, senior Jabari Small, sophomore Dylan Sampson, and more.
