Tennessee exited the NCAA tournament in the first round, allowing Rick Barnes's team to start making off-season moves. The first came when star assistant coach Kim English left for the head coaching job at George Mason. Now, Vols forward Drew Pember has entered the transfer portal. This is a move that has been expected over the last couple of weeks. Sources have indicated to VR2 on SI, there is likely more movement.

Pember played in 32 games over the course of his career at Tennessee as a reserve. He averaged 1 ppg with a career-high of 8 points in 2019 against Alabama.

  • As a senior in 2018-19, he helped lead Bearden to the Tennessee Class AAA Championship, defeating Memphis East in the final.
  • Was named to the 2019 Class AAA All-Tournament Team for his efforts after averaging 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.7 blocks, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
  • Leading the Bulldogs to an impressive 32-5 record and a top-50 national ranking in 2019, Pember also was named to the regular season All-District Team, the All-District Tournament Team and the All-Region Tournament Team.
  • As a senior, he scored in double figures in nine games, had four double-doubles and recorded at least five blocks in seven outings.
