Alec Abeln Checks On Kendre Harrison

2026 five-star tight end Kendre Harrison (Reidsville, N.C.) received a visit from Tennessee Volunteers tight ends coach Alec Abeln this week.

Reidsville High School tight end Kendre Harrison has been a top target for the Tennessee Volunteers, though he's only a rising junior. The talented North Carolina product received a visit from Tennessee tight ends coach Alec Abeln this week after recently getting a school visit from head coach Josh Heupel and company.

Standing out at the Elite 11 is difficult. There are tons of high-major talents in every position group, many of them upperclassmen. Yet, Harrison stood out from the moment he touched the field. He carries a legit 6-7 and 235-pound frame and looks every part of the basketball player he is. Harrison routinely throws down transition dunks and can do the same on the football field. He's a mismatch nightmare that dominated 7-on-7 periods with his superior leaping ability. Harrison high-pointed the football several times, and with his wingspan, it was impossible for defensive backs to get back in the frame.

Harrison is the No. 7 prospect in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He also checks in as the No. 27 basketball prospect in his cycle on the composite rankings.
