Norcross, Ga.-- The Pylon 7v7 circuit made its way to Gwinnett County (Ga.) this weekend and featured several nationally ranked recruits from across the country. Multiple Tennessee prospects were in attendance, and I take a look at the buzz around each here.

In-State RB Jordan James

James did not play for TN Select today, but he was in attendance. James's recruitment remains focused around a select group of schools. Georgia, Tennessee, and Oklahoma have remained constant with James, but Alabama is quickly creeping back into the mix. He has an interest in the Tide, and he has been receiving more interest from Saban and the staff. He continues to zoom with Tennessee and likes what he hears from Jerry Mack and the Vols as well. Oklahoma feels like the dark horse here, but the Sooners are in the thick of things too. He has several connections in Norman and is hearing from Lincoln Riley's staff consistently. A decision could come soon.

In-State RB Dallan Hayden

Hayden remains relatively quiet on the recruiting front. He is holding out for visits as all of his top five continue to battle for him. Ohio State continues to have some buzz, while Tennessee continues to prioritize the legacy prospect from Memphis. He was impressive on the hoof and is more than just a runner. He is impressive out of the backfield and a mismatch for most linebackers.

Alabama RB Quinshon Judkins

Speaking of impressive on the hoof, Judkins was just that. The 6-0, 195-pound prospect from Pike Road (Ala.) is solid. He plays receivers for GasCrew Elite to improve his game, and he can create mismatches without a doubt. Tennessee recently re-offered, and the new staff has quickly prioritized him. He likes what he has heard from Jerry Mack, and he hopes to start making some trips on his own soon. Tennessee likes his game, and he plans to give the Vols a chance, but they have some catchup work to do.

In-State WR Cam Miller

Miller is the complete package at WR. He had an impressive one-handed grab for TN select and flashed his ability at all three levels of the field. Not much has changed in his recruitment to this point. Multiple teams remain involved with Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida being considered the major players. Miller likes what he hears from Tennessee's new staff and admits Josh Heupel is handling most of his recruitment. They like his ability to work vertically in their offense, and he is open to the idea of it. Alabama and Florida both have obvious pitches to make to him. Ty Simpson has been in his ear since committing to Alabama, and Miller likes the prospect of teaming up with him. A decision timeline remains unclear at this point. The longer it goes, the better it is for Tennessee.

In-State CB Myles Pollard

Pollard is a long, rangy corner with a nice ability to break on the ball. He has a top-six out currently, featuring Michigan, Washington, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia Tech, and Oklahoma. Auburn recently offered and appears to be a factor. Tennessee was late to the party as they just offered Pollard shortly before Jeremy Pruitt was fired. Tennessee is using relationships built with assistant coaches from other stops to rebuild things with Pollard. The Vols are still in this recruitment, but there is work to be done.

In-State Linebacker Elijah Herring

Herring looks the part and is working with TN Select 7v7 to improve his game to become a three-down linebacker. Known for his aggressive play off the edge, he looked comfortable dropping into coverage today. He mentioned Michigan, Mississippi State and Tennessee as the schools he has talked with the most. He says Josh Heupel has handled most of his recruitment to this point. He likes what he is hearing and the idea of staying closer to home. He also has a younger brother in the 2023 class, who is going to be a solid prospect moving forward.

In-State WR Isaiah Horton

Horton did not play for TN Select today, but he is a well-put-together prospect from the eyeball test. His recruitment remains centered around a few teams. Alabama and Florida seem to be jockeying for position, with both schools showing Horton he is a priority. Tennessee has quickly caught his attention under Josh Heupel. He continues to listen to their pitch and likes what he hears so far. He continues to build a relationship with this new staff but they will have to work hard to avoid getting left behind, as Horton could look for a decision sooner than later.
