Pair of Top-100 Nashville QBs Attend Tennessee's Opener

In this story:
While the Vols spent the afternoon dominating Virginia on the field, the one downside was that it was a neutral site game, meaning the coaching staff couldn't get prospects to campus for the game. However, when your program performs well, top recruits go out of their way to see your games.
On Saturday afternoon, two top-100 signal callers in 2025 were at Nissan Stadium, esteemed passers George MacIntyre and Deuce Knight. Both made short trips to the stadium for an extended look at Tennessee. The coaches love both and will accept either commitment, no matter who comes off the board first. Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel stopped by Brentwood Academy on Friday night to watch MacIntyre in action and will likely be by Lipscomb Academy later this year to see Knight and a few other Tennessee commits/targets.
Current Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton III gave a resounding pitch to both young passers with his on-field performance. Heupel didn't ask Milton to do much, but when you look up at the end of the game, he efficiently totaled 240 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns. You don't have to do much in this system to put up numbers, but you must be talented. Both of these young quarterbacks are, and that's what Tennessee's message is: the better the quarterback under center, the more we can do. True freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava is the first subject for that theory, and he got in at the end of the game.
The crowd erupted in a chorus of "Nico" chants. Though he didn't do anything of real note, the talent was there. Tennessee got to show MacIntyre and Knight that future direction and pitched them on why one of them should eventually lead the show.
