Dylan Stephenson Narrows Recruitment

Edge rusher Dylan Stephenson has cut down his recruitment, and Tennessee is in a prime position to make him a Volunteer.

Tennesse continues to try and bring in high-caliber edge rushers that can make impact plays. They signed several of them in the 2023 class and are already looking to do the same in 2024.

Edge rusher Dylan Stephenson cut down his recruitment to ten schools on Friday morning. Stephenson will focus on Tennessee, Georgia, Florida State, Nebraska, Auburn, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, and Louisville moving forward.

Stephenson hails from Miami, Florida, and has been playing varsity football since he was in eighth grade. He currently stands 6-4 and 215 lbs. He has a wiry frame and can get off the ball quickly.

It will be tough to pull Stephenson away from the Sunshine State, as both Miami and Florida State are active in his recruitment. However, head coach Josh Heupel has the prowess to pull off a recruitment of this magnitude.

The Volunteers have been revamping their roster in the past few days. They already have fifteen early enrollees from their 2023 signing class while losing several players to the transfer portal. The recruiting calendar has become annual, meaning they cannot afford to let up.
