Tennessee played host to one of their top tight end prospects today in Miles Campbell of South Paulding (GA). Campbell, who measures in at 6'3, 225lbs, holds offers from over 10 Division 1 colleges. Campbell breaks down his visit to Tennessee here with VR2.

Campbell said on the visit, "Everything about it was great! What stood out the most was the transparency with the coaches."

Earlier in the week, news broke that Tennessee was expected to promote Joe Osovet from an off-field role as director of player programming to tight ends coach, and Campbell got an opportunity to start a bond with him during the visit.

Campbell said on this, "The coaches are very transparent. I can tell, me and Coach Osovet will get along great."

The message from the Tennessee coaching staff is simple, "they need someone like me to fill a needed spot in the offense to stretch the field."

Knoxville is just a few hours from home for Campbell and is a place that appeals to him. Campbell said, "The most appealing thing about Tennessee is where it is at. It is a college town in a city, it isn’t deserted, and there isn’t too much going on."

Tennessee's coaches checked off a major box in Campbell's recruitment today. He said his major factors would be, "The ability to stay transparent and keep the comfortability factor."

Tennessee will likely look to add 2 tight ends in the 2021 class, and Campbell appears to be one of the guys at the top of the board. He is rated as the 400th overall prospect in the class, 18th TE in the country, and 30th overall prospect from the state of Georgia for 2021, according to the 247 Sports Composite Ratings.
