Terrence Lewis is the premier name that Tennessee will recruit at the linebacker position in the 2021 class. Lewis is a top 30 prospect on both 247 Sports and Rivals, which speaks to the caliber of player that he is. Lewis was a star for national powerhouse Northwestern (FL) but now plays at Chaminade-Madonna Prep (FL). He is a prospect that has a tremendous amount of upsides.

Lewis's recruitment has been interesting to follow early on. He has offers from 36 schools including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Texas A&M, Tennessee, LSU, and others. Lewis has not been shy about getting out of the state and has already started to build a bond with Tennessee's Brian Niedermeyer. Niedermeyer would now be Lewis's position coach if he were to come to Tennessee. Lewis originally planned to make the trip to Tennessee prior to the dead period, but he has since changed those plans, and will now visit later in the Spring.

Lewis measures in at 6'1, 195lbs, and moves well for his size. He has been clocked in the 4.5 forty-yard dash range, which makes him lethal at the high school level. He has finished the last two seasons with over 100 tackles and double-digit tackles for loss.

Miami is the hometown school, but they are going to have their work cut out for them in this recruitment. Florida, Nebraska, Tennessee, and several others are locked in to make a run at the elite linebacker.

Analysis- Lewis loves physicality, and he prides his game around it. His ability to make a physical play reminds you of the old-style of linebackers who were the heart and soul of defenses. Lewis excels in defending the run from sideline to sideline and is adequate in pass coverage. Lewis's natural athleticism is what makes him such a coveted prospect. He has the ability to be a four-down prospect with his speed, and he could see himself in multiple roles in a defensive scheme. Lewis's recruitment will be a national battle until he signs his National Letter of Intent.
