21 defensive recruits to know for '21: No.3 Five-Star Demeioun Robinson

We started this series with an elite pass rusher in Dylan Brooks, and just two spots later, we take a look at another elite edge player in Demeioun Robinson.

The Quince Orchard (MD) prospect has garnered national attention from schools across the country, and he has 16 offers in hand already. Tennessee keyed in on Robinson early on, and the Vols are trying to capitalize on that relationship during the 2021 cycle.

Robinson has already taken at least one look at Tennessee, and he is planning to be back on campus during the winter for a Junior Day visit. Robinson last visited Tennessee in July, a visit that he described to VR2 as, "beautiful and, a chance to bond with all of the coaches." It is also worth noting that Robinson stated that his family loved the visit.

Robinson's unique ability as a pass-rusher is going to make him one of the most sought after prospects in the nation during the 2021 cycle. Robinson possesses an immediate spark that teams will battle for all the way up until when he signs the papers. Which is why Robinson is rated as the 3rd overall prospect in the ESPN 300 rankings, and as a top 100 prospect per 247 Sports.

Analysis- Robinson is college-ready from a size standpoint, but what makes him pop on tape outside of his freakish athleticism is his ability to read and react. Robinson's ability to recognize plays and put himself in the right position is uncanny. Robinson plays well with his hand in the dirt or standing up, and he has the frame to add extra weight and play with his hand in the dirt if necessary. Robinson is a three down, hybrid pass rusher that does well in coverage, and possesses enough natural athleticism to make his mark immediately at a Power 5 college.

Expect Tennessee to continue to prioritize Robinson in the 2021 class.
