21 offensive recruits to know for '21: No. 3 Athlete Tray Curry

Tray Curry is a two-sport star at Bradley Central High School in Cleveland, TN. He holds offers to play Division 1 basketball and football, including 13 offers to play College Football. He is currently rated as the 63rd overall prospect in America and the number one prospect in the state of Tennessee for the 2021 class.

Curry has been a prospect that has kept his recruitment quiet, but he will likely be one of the most interesting recruitment's to watch during the 2021 cycle, due to his versatility. Curry lined up in multiple roles for Bradley Central this past season, including defensive back, running back, and receiver. Curry is a do-it-all player that projects as a receiver or defensive back at the next level.

Curry is intrigued by the possibility of staying in-state and playing for Tee Martin at Tennessee. Curry and Martin have built a strong bond since Martin arrived back in Knoxville. It is also worth noting that Curry has told VR2 before, “there have been a lot of people from Cleveland pulling for me to stay in-state.” Only time will tell if Curry will stay home, but the Vols certainly appear to be on the right track with him.

Analysis- Curry is a dynamic athlete which has helped his college stock tremendously. He is an athlete that can impact the game in multiple phases. It’s not essential for him to identify one position, but will be a tremendous help for schools as they continue to evaluate him throughout his senior season. Curry is coming off an all-State season that he will look to carry forward into his senior season. He totaled over 1,200 yards and 18 touchdowns during his junior campaign. As a receiver, Curry’s 6’4 frame and basketball background allow him to display a wide catch radius for QB’s. As a running back, Curry has a unique ability to set up blocks and displays consistent field vision to create chunk plays. Curry also has the frame to become a three-down running back.
