Breaking: Tennessee announces Uros Plasvic is cleared by NCAA

Tennessee basketball got huge news (literally) today, as the University announced that Uros Plasvic has been cleared by the NCAA. Plasvic was initially denied on his first waiver after transferring from Arizona State, but Tennessee was able to appeal and ultimately win, considering today's news.

Plavsic could be the spark that this Tennessee team has longed for. The 7'1, 240lbs center will add a presence inside that Tennessee has not had the luxury of having, and he will add another factor into the shutdown defense that has kept them in so many games this season.

Plasvic played high school ball at Hamilton Heights (TN) before taking his talents to Arizona State, but after one year, Plasvic found himself back in Tennessee wearing orange. Coming out of high school, Plasvic was rated as the 184th prospect in the nation.

This is big news for Tennessee as they will get Plasvic just in time for the meat of their SEC schedule. Expect Plasvic to see playing time early and often moving forward.
