Craig Fitzgerald announces return to NFL, pens farewell to Tennessee

Tennessee strength and condition coordinator Craig Fitzgerald announced he would leave Jeremy Pruitt’s program to return to the NFL’s New York Giants.

Fitzgerald has been an integral part of the rebuild on Rocky Top since 2018.

Jeremy Pruitt was able to weather the storm when Fitzgerald’s alma mater Maryland came calling last off-season and even this off-season when Alabama made an attempt at him per Jeremy Pruitt’s comments to open up spring practice. However, when the NFL came calling it was too much for Fitzgerald. He previously served as a S&C coach for the Houston Texans.

Below is Fitzgerald’s farewell:

Thank you Vol Nation!
