Former commit Ojulari breaks down recent visit from Tennessee and more

BJ Ojulari is one of the most prolific edge rushers in all of America, and the schools that have continued to pursue him during his recruitment are a prime example of that. Ojulari was at one point committed to Tennessee before flipping that commitment to LSU. Tennessee has stayed the course with Ojulari, and they are trying to make a move leading into the early signing period. Ojulari breaks down a recent visit from the Vols staff and more here.

Tennessee coaches traveled to Marietta on Thursday to see Ojulari ahead of his state semi-finals matchup against Parkview. Ojulari said of that visit, "it was just Coach Niedermeyer, Ansley, Rumph, and all of them just trying to get me back. They were giving me the statistics about LSU compared to Tennessee. They gave me stats on pass rushing and stuff like that. They are still on me and will be until signing day. They aren't going to stop."

Tennessee has made it known for almost two years that Ojulari is the top defensive target on their board. The Vols continued to pitch that same message to him on Thursday. Ojulari said, "they were able to tell me a lot about that. They told me I would be able to come in and be an immediate impact. They say all the time that the best practice is to get in the game, so just coming in as a freshman and getting all that work in, and then my sophomore year, I am a vet. Then between them and LSU, I am going to have to work a little harder (to get on the field), but it is all in a day's work."

One thing that has stood out for Ojulari is Tennessee's consistency, "it means that I am a big priority and that it is not all talk from them. Them still coming at me as the number one guy for their defense is pretty special to me and knowing that they really want me."

Ojulari said on what Tennessee will have to do to flip him, "I don't know really. I am pretty solid to LSU, but Tennessee is going to keep coming, and I am not going to ignore them."

The Vols still have a couple of weeks to flip Ojulari back into the fold, and with Brian Niedermeyer at the helm, you cannot count the Vols out. Tennessee still has a chance to get Ojulari back on campus for an official visit in the coming weeks. At this time, he does not have one planned.
