High priority QB Christian Veilleux recaps Tennessee visit and more

2021 four-star quarterback, Christian Veilleux, was back in Knoxville for a weekend visit. Veilleux has emerged as a serious priority for Tennessee in the 2021 class. Veilleux breaks down that visit here.

Tennessee has made no qualms about how highly they think of Veilleux. He saw that once again on his visit today. He said, “what stood out was the hospitality and the love I felt throughout the day. The coaches demonstrated my importance to them.”

Veilleux has visited the campus before with his dad and he told VR2 in an earlier interview, “ I believe the tradition and the campus stand out to me the most. They’ve had great success in recent years and they’re program has always been known as a good one. Their campus is also very beautiful. My dad and I loved it when we were down there in the spring.”

Tennessee visited Veilleux earlier in the week when the recruiting dead period ended as Joe Osovet was in the area to see several recruits. Veilleux said on the Vols coming out to see him early, “It means a lot, and it shows that they’re serious about the process and that I’m an important part that they’d like to have in the 21 class.”

Tennessee will continue to become a team that drives the ball vertically downfield under Jim Chaney. Veilleux said on what the Vols coaches see in his game, “They really feel like my natural throwing ability, my athleticism and my anticipation is something that can really fit in this offense.”

Veilleux still has several other trips left In front of him but these winter visits could be key in his decision. He said on when a commitment might come, “I’ll make my decision when I’m ready and confident. I hope to commit before the summer but we will see.”
