Jordan James is one of the most coveted running back prospects in the state of Tennessee, and the elite back is now down to four schools in his recruitment.

James holds double-digit offers, but he is now down to Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, and Tennessee.

James has not had the chance to take many visits, but he was ready to narrow his focus.

Tennessee has been in the race for him for an extended period of time, and the Vols will have Tee Martin and Jay Graham leading the cause.

Following the release of his final four, James told VR2 on SI, "Tennessee has always been in the picture. They were the first to offer me, so they always will be in the picture. I’ve had a chance to build great relationships with the Tennessee coaches and will continue to do that!"

James has previously told VR2 on SI about Martin, "I feel like a have a great relationship with Tee Martin. We stay in contact a lot, which shows me I'm a priority."

Before the recruiting shutdown, James was able to take a trip to Tennessee and meet Jay Graham in person. "I enjoyed my last visit to Tennessee. I enjoyed meeting coach (Jay) Graham, and I look forward to getting to know him more as I start to narrow down my schools," James told VR2 on SI following the visit.

The ability for college coaches to contact recruits directly through message or social media just started for James' 2022 class, and he heard from several schools. He told VR2 on SI that he heard from "Jeremy Pruitt and Tee Martin" right after midnight on September 1st.

James recently transferred from Brentwood Academy to Oakland High School which is located in Murfreesboro. He will look to continue a successful prep career, as his junior season continues.
