Monster Offensive Guard, Jaelon Brown, recaps Tennessee visit

Tennessee went into Montgomery (AL) during the 2020 recruiting cycle and landed an absolute mauler at the offensive guard position in James Robinson of Carver HS. This cycle the Vols are back in Mobile taking a look at another monster from the area in 6'2, 320lbs offensive guard Jaelon Brown of Park Crossing HS. Brown made the trip to Knoxville this past weekend and breaks down the visit here.

Brown said on what stood out during the visit, "Every facility is some of the best I’ve ever seen and all of the coaches are great men. They really put an emphasis on academics."

Tennessee's coaching staff has a reputation of keeping communication with recruits down to earth and honest. Brown said of the message from the coaching staff during the visit, "The general message was if you buy in you’ll be great here. They want me to come to a camp first and that’s how I feel as well, to really get a better feel for their personality."

Brown is taking his time lining up visits and hearing pitches from schools. He did say this on the recruiting process, "This process isn’t over. I still have a lot to think about and do. And the major factor is if the program feels like one I can thrive in and feels like home."

Brown is currently rated as a three-star per the industry recruiting rankings, as most interior offensive lineman are usually ranked lower in today's age.

Brown currently holds offers from Central Michigan and Tennessee, with several other offers looming. Camp season will prove to be a pivotal time for him, as he, much like Robinson, could go earn several more offers during the off-season.
