Tennessee lands commitment from 2021 defensive end Darrell Jackson

Tennessee picked up its 6th commitment in the 2021 class today when strong-side defensive end Darrell Jackson OC Gadsden County HS in Florida.

Jackson is an under the radar prospect in the class, who picked up his first two offers last week including one from Maryland.

Jackson picked up an offer from Tennessee during today’s junior day, and he committed during the visit.

He possesses great size and length for an edge rusher, and fits the mold of pass rusher that Jeremy Pruitt covets in his defensive scheme. It has been apparent that Pruitt is going to increase the length and athleticism on the edges of his defense.

Jackson is a prospect that possesses all of the necessary physical tools to succeed at the next level. As he continues to polish his game and grow into a natural position he should continue to see his offer list grow.

Jackson is not currently rated on any of the industry recruiting services.
