Since Jeremy Pruitt arrived in Knoxville, the Vols have prioritized the state of Georgia, and that is not going to change in the near future. Tennessee has already hosted a slew of prospects from the state during the first Junior Day's of the off-season, and one of those prospects was a three-star, hybrid defensive end, Victoine Brown. The touted prospect from Grayson (GA) breaks down that visit here.

Brown said on the visit, "the visit was pretty good. A few different things I saw for the first time that was different from my last visit to Tennessee. What stands out to me the most was the coaches. They all kept telling me they’d love for me to join the Vol Family."

Tennessee has been in and out at Grayson recruiting over the last few years, and that is going to be the same way this year. Brown has been on the recruiting scene for a while, and he said this about his communication with Tennessee, "My communication with Tennessee is pretty good. I hear from Coach Tee Martin a lot, here and there, and time from time. The message is basically that I’d fit well into their defense."

Tennessee currently has Deangelo Gibbs and Wanya Morris on the roster as Grayson alums, and Brown does know of each, but his relationship with them will not be a factor Tennessee can rely on. He said, "My relationship with Wanya is alright. I only really got to speak to him once recently at a basketball game over here. Because when I came to Grayson, Him and Owen (Pappoe) and the other seniors were already gone to college."

Grayson is generally a national powerhouse, so it comes as no surprise that Brown is being recruited by multiple schools. He said on the other schools he is hearing from, "Florida, Colorado, South Carolina, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Arizona State, Nebraska, and UGA is slowing stepping into the mix."

There is no time frame set for a decision, but Brown does not what will factor into his decision. He said, "A major factor is if I feel comfortable at that school. I don’t want to be somewhere that I feel uncomfortable at."

The 6'4, 225lbs prospect is rated as the 403rd overall prospect in the nation, number 28 strong-side defensive end, and the 28th prospect from the state of Georgia.
