Addison Nichols is one of the prospects in the country for 2022, regardless of position. The dynamic offensive lineman from Greater Atlanta Christian (GA) holds offers from over 20 schools, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and USC. Nichols has kept his recruitment relatively quiet in recent months, but he breaks down where things stand today, what schools are standing out, how he is handling re-arranging visits, and more here.

Nichols said on his overall recruitment, "it is going well. I am enjoying it so far, and it is really cool to be able to do this. I don't have a set list of top schools, but maybe Duke, Tennessee, and Georgia."

The Covid-19 spread has put a widespread hiatus on most non-essential travel, in turn, causing high school recruits across the country to have to put trips on hold, and Nichols is no different, however, he understands the situation. He said on this, "I had planned on taking some more visits, especially up to Tennessee. So, that has kind of messed with the plans we had, but it is understandable. Safety is the number one priority, so I understand it."

Nichols is already feeling a strong connection at Tennessee, and he said, "I feel like we have a good relationship. My last visit up there, I got to sit down with a few of the coaches and really get to know them, and I thought that was great."

He added, "it was really nice getting to do that and create that deeper relationship."

So, what stands out about the Vols? He said, "I like the overall program, and I also like the overall campus feel."

Tennessee has been selling their new practice facilities to Nichols, and he is excited to get an opportunity to look at it, whenever that may be. He said, "I would really like to see the new addition to the indoor facility they have been talking about- It sounds amazing, and I am excited to see it."

It is still a touch early in Nichol's recruitment, but he has a decision timeline in mind, and he knows what will play into that final decision. He said, "For sure academics, 100%, but also the overall feel, you know. I will probably major in something like Business. I really like the Haslam Business program."

He said on a decision, "I am trying to get it done by the end of my junior year because I am going to graduate early, and I'd like to not have to worry about it over the summer and my last semester of high school, so that is the plan really.

The peach state product measures in at 6'4, 285lbs, and is rated as the 61st overall prospect in the nation, the number 4 OT, and 7th overall recruit in the state of Georgia, according to 247 Sports.

Nichols is coming off a season at GAC which saw him receive Max Preps All-American honors while helping the Spartans to a 12-2 record.
