Just wondering;

What the post season college football picture would have looked if the 12 team playoff had been in place this season and A Jersey Guy's Master bowl plan (with ESPN's help) had started.

Let's start with the first 6 games of the 2023 bowl picture which were played on Saturday.

1. Myrtle Beach Bowl--Ohio 41, Ga. Southern 31

2 New Orleans Bowl--Jacksonville State 34,  Louisiana 31 (OT)

3. Cure Bowl-- Appalachian State 13, Miami of  Ohio 9

4. New Mexico Bowl--Fresno State 37 New Mexico State 10

5. LA Bowl--UCLA 35 Boise State 22

6. Independence Bowl--Texas Tech 34 California 14

Any of those games excite you much?

Didn't think so.

So let's project the current CFP 1-12 rankings and byes into what would have been Saturday's first round games, played on campus sites.

Byes

1. Michigan

2. Washington

3. Texas

4. Alabama

First Round

No. 12 Liberty at No. 5 Florida State

No. 11 Ole Miss at No. 6 Georgia

No. 10 Penn State at No. 7 Ohio State

No. 9 Missouri at No. 8 Oregon

if you projected the higher seeded winning

the 4 quarterfinal games, would have been played in the Orange, Peach, Cotton and  Fiesta Bowls with the following match ups on New Year's Eve and January 1.

Dec. 31

Fiesta Bowl--Washington vs. Ohio State

January 1

Peach Bowl-- Alabama vs. Florida State\

Cotton Bowl--Michigan vs. Oregon

Orange Bowl--Texas vs. Georgia

That's the top tier games.

We understand ESPN wants needs and will create as many bowl games as it can to satisfy its programming needs.

Here's our suggestion.

Take all of the bowl games played between now and Christmas (with the exception of the Hawaii Bowl on Dec. 23rd (this year in that much anticipated San Jose State vs. Coastal Carolina match up, and play them in Orlando Fla, at the newly expanded athletic complex-Stadium capacity of 15,000) ESPN will build.

That would be 11 games and play a series of day-night doubleheaders,,11:30 am. 7:30 p.m, Monday-thru Friday and finish Christmas week with a Dec. 23 special.

Market it is a Disney World Sports Package and stage it .

Lots of work, but lots of fun for players and coaches who deserve a good time.

The monsoon conditions of the past few days was an exception for Fla weather in a winter.

The match ups don't matter.

Just two football games a day for a week, at a warm weather site, with Disney World as part of the package as well as college football.

That is a reward for a season, even if it is not well done with a 6-6 record

Merry Christmas.
