Michigan and Minnesota Tune up for Big Challenges

Mark Blaudschun

Well, we made some progress, going 4-2, but the road to .500 is still steep.

The Games, The Picks

Michigan -8.5 at Indiana

Wolverines are rolling, preparing for next week's showdown with Ohio State. Indiana can be dangerous at home, but Michigan looks good enough to win and cover.

Michigan 31, Indiana 17

Temple plus 10.5 at Cincinnati

Cincinnati is headed to a regular season showdown and possible rematch in the AAC championship game with Memphis. Temple is a dangerous opponent for Bearcats who can not be caught looking ahead. Take Temple and the points.

Cincinnati 28, Temple 21

Minnesota-13.5 at Northwestern

Gophers saw unbeaten season spoiled last week. Big Ten title and even Final Four spot is still within reach. Northwestern is horrible. Take Minnesota in a romp.

Minnesota 42, Northwestern 14

UCLA plus 14.5 at USC

USC can still win the Pac-12 South title (with a Utah loss), so the Trojans have something on the line. UCLA has again dropped into the mediocre bin after getting crushed last week by Utah. But this is a rivalry game. Taking a chance on Bruins showing up and covering.

USC 31, UCLA 21

Texas plus 6 at Baylor

Taking a chance on Texas having some pride and showing up for this one and Baylor being depressed after blowing lead against Oklahoma. Just a hunch but Texas has a chance to win at the end and covers.

Baylor 31, Texas 27

Navy vs. SMU O/U 68

SMU can still win the AAC, but it's going to take some help. Same goes for Navy. Fun game to watch. Last team with the ball wins and both teams can points on the board. Taking the Over.

SMU 41, Navy 35

Last week: 4-2

Season to Date: 32-38
