Women’s Volleyball: McKayla Wuensch Named To NIVC All-Tournament Team
Wuensch was critical at the setter position in leading the Huskies on a four-match run that ended at the NIVC Final Four. The BIG EAST Setter of the Year averaged 10.40 assists per set along with 3.13 digs per set. Wuensch additionally added in 11 digs and five blocks over the tournament.
Making their first NIVC appearance since 1994, UConn defeated North Carolina A&T, Boston College and North Florida to advance to the Final Four, where it fell to Valpo. Despite the loss, the Huskies finished the season with 24 wins, their most since the 1995 season.
