Colleagues optimistic about future for Nassir Little, Coby White in rookie survey

No player showed up in more categories than Coby White on the NBA's annual survey of its rookies.
White tied with Carsen Edwards, a second-round pick out of Purdue, by receiving votes in five of the survey's seven categories.
His strongest showing was in the "best playmaker" category, where White ended up tied for third with 10 percent of the vote. In the long-term, White garnered five percent of the vote and ended up tied with R.J. Barrett and Zion Williamson for who rookies felt would have the best overall career.
Fellow rookies also seem to agree that Nassir Little's draft-night slide to Portland at the No. 25 pick was surprising, with five percent voting him as the draft's biggest steal where he tied with White, who was picked seventh by Chicago.
Little also wound up in third in the "best defender" category, while White also received votes for who would win rookie of the year and best defender.
The survey's biggest surprise came in the "best career" category, where Cam Reddish won with 19 percent of the vote, while former teammate Zion William finished in a distant fourth.
