Renewed energy has been a common theme the Heels have discussed throughout training camp, so it came as no surprise that Xach Gill mentioned it as a key to the defense's success on Saturday.

"We were fired up and when you’ve got that energy right there, there’s a lot you can build off," he said. "The defense was firing on all cylinders."
