USC Basketball: Blue Blood Schools Rank High In Betting Odds For Bronny James' Next Stop

Could Bronny make his way back to his homestate?

The rumors on Tuesday regarding USC freshman guard Bronny James shocked the basketball world. There was a report that James would enter the NCAA's transfer portal after spending one season in Southern California.

That report was redacted by Bronny's dad and NBA superstar LeBron James following his game on Tuesday against the Toronto Raptors. Nonetheless, that's not stopping the oddsmakers from ranking the favorites to land the 19-year-old.

According to BetOnline, the Ohio State Buckeyes are the favorites to land Bronny in the transfer portal if he chooses to enter it.

Ohio State has the best odds at +300, followed by Oregon at +400 and Duquesne at +500 to round off the top three.

Ohio State and Oregon were among his top three choices before he selected USC last year as a high school senior at Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth. Both OSU and Oregon are Nike schools and of course, James is a Nike kid, with his father being one of the most prominent faces the company has ever partnered with.

Duquesne is among the top programs due to the connection between Bronny's family and the Dukes' new head coach, Dru Joyce. Joyce is a close friend of his dad, and they were teammates at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. He was the associate head coach for the last two seasons before being named the head coach following their early exit in the NCAA tournament and the retirement of former coach Keith Dambrot.

There is still no word on if Bronny will enter the portal, as he will evaluate his decisions carefully. He averaged 4.8 points on 36.6% shooting for the field, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in his freshman season as a Trojan.
